Gaza Funds is a project that connects people to crowdfunding campaigns for individuals and families from Gaza. Each time the page is reloaded, a different campaign appears. While the rotation is randomized, campaigns for the sick/injured and campaigns close to meeting their goals are prioritized. We never want any of these campaigns to go stagnant, so we make sure to also prioritize fundraisers that haven't had a donation in a while. As existing fundraisers meet their goals, they will be replaced with other fundraisers that need our help.
We are a global team of (mostly) Arab and Palestinian engineers, students, writers, and academics working to help get exposure and traction to fundraisers created for people in Gaza, Palestine. We are not an organization or a charity. We do not create fundraisers and we do not collect money on behalf of them. Our work on this project is completely voluntary. We created this site as a way to give others quick access to these fundraisers.
Our aim through this project is to facilitate the process of finding and choosing crowdfunding campaigns to donate to, and to make helping Gaza as easy and accessible as possible. We hope you will join us in fulfilling our duty to our people in Palestine by sharing this site and donating to these fundraisers.
الصندوق المالي لغزة هو مشروع يشمل الناس بحملات التمويل الجماعي (“الكراودفند”) للأفراد والعائلات من غزة. تعرض الصفحة حملة مختلفة كل مرّة يتم إعادة تحميلها. تتبادل الحملات بشكل عشوائي، مع أولويّة لحملات المرضى/المصابين والحملات التي توشك من تحقيق هدفها. لكي لا تصل الحملات الى حالة ركود والاستمرار في مراقبتها عن قرب، سنركز الأولويّة كذلك على الحملات التي لم تستلم أي تبرعات في المدّة الأخيرة. حين يتحقّق هدف أي حملة، يتم تبديلها بالحملات الأخرى لمساعدتها.
نحن طاقم عالمي من المهندسين، الطلّاب، الكتّاب، والأكاديميين (معظمنا) من العرب والفلسطينيين نعمل للفت النظر وشدّ الاهتمام لحملات دعم الغزّاويين. لسنا منظّمة ولا جمعيّة خيريّة. لسنا من ينشئ الحملات، ولا نجمع لها النقود. فإنّ عملنا في هذا المشروع تطوّعي بالكامل. وقد بادرنا له لإتاحة الوصول السريع للحملات وإنجاحها.
هدفنا من مشروع الصندوق المالي لغزّة هو تسهيل عمليّة البحث عن حملات التمويل الجماعي لغزّة واختيار حملات للتبرع، وبالتالي جعل تقديم المساعدات لغزة سهل ومتاح على قدر الإمكان. نأمل أن تنضمّوا إلينا بتأدية واجبنا لشعبنا في فلسطين عن طريق التبرع للحملات ومشاركة الموقع مع الآخرين.
